My picky one...

My menu this week has had a bit of an Asian flair, last night was sushi, Tuesday night was teriyaki salmon and sesame noodles, and tonight was an Asian chicken salad garnished with wonton strips and miso soup for an appetizer. The older kids are pretty good about trying new things, even embracing them - but little Henry? No way. He really only eats about 4 different foods, including fruit, pancakes or french toast, goldfish crackers and chicken nuggets. The end. Everything else gets a sweep of the hand across the table without even a sniff. What's a good mother to do? I've tried all the tricks in the book to get him to try new things, all with little success. I was spoiled with Maya and Harrison's eating habits, they will try nearly anything and like most of it. Tonight I resorted to taking little Henry to Wendy's to get a 5 piece chicken nugget (sick, I know) and guess what? He ate every last one.

Little stinker.

Oh well, more sushi for me, right? I'll look on the bright side.

I say give that cute baby exactly what he wants. He is such a handsome little guy! I miss you.

Ha! What a little turkey, he and jack would be best food buddies. It's amazing how little Jack can actually live off of. I swear some days all he eats is cold cereal and chicken nuggets. blah.

What a handsome picky eater

My daughter is a vegetarian, except for a few processed meats: hot dogs, nuggets and lunch meat. How gross? She's only 2, but seriously, I can't get her to eat any other meat except those yucky processed few. GROSS.

So, I've been reading your blog ever since last Christmas when I found your pretzel post. Are you doing them again this year? I bought the glitter and everything. I'm all ready to do them. I think you should do a tutorial with pictures and all. :)

Meagan, thanks for commenting! It's nice to know my readers (OK, all 3 of you) are nice, normal people!

I've got something else brewing for friend/neighbor christmas gifts this year. We'll probably still do the pretzels, though I'm sure I'll do another post on both of them. I guess I need to get working on that....

Thanks!

I was starting to wonder if your kids liked asian food... Here's the answer!

Every single time we sat at the dinner table (ok, unless there are french fries) my daughter says:"I don't like this food!"
But I'm also stubborn! So I just have to insist that she trys the first mouthful and then she ends up eating nicely!
Kids...! What to do? lol
Anyway, if Henry eats (whatever that is), if he develops ok ... it messes with our head but just let him be! (What does the pediatrician thinks about that?)

On the other hand, it must be really cool to have Maya and Harrison being so curious about different cuisines... being so young!

About the measuring cups and spoons... it arrived!!!!!
I'm so happy! Thank you so much! I sent you an e-mail...
Lots of kisses.

There is a blog award for you on my blog.
I noticed that google translates badly... Maybe you should check the rules and everything on Mangio da Sola.
Kisses.
