Homemade turtles

So I was running short on friend/neighbor gifts this week, I was about 5 short, so when I saw the recipe on La Fuji Mama for chocolate covered caramels, I knew I had to try it. I decided to step it up a bit and add a toasted pecan in the caramel. These turned out so delicious! The best part is the tiny sprinkling of fleur de sel on the top (delicious french sea salt) my good friend Lori brought a bag back from France and I've been waiting for just the reason to use it.

All tied up with a pretty bow, and these were a hit! Merry Christmas Everyone!

Yummy! I need to make some of those for new years!

I forgot to comment, but I thought that your home made vanilla was genius! I saw that same thing in like september and wanted to make some, but never got around to it. Those little bottles are perfect, and those labels were darling!
