A Date with Harrison

Tonight Maya was excited to go on a date with her beloved aunt Amy. To calm the waters, we told Harrison he could go on a date with mom and dad, we even went as far as allowing him to pick the location. Now when given that lofty responsibility, most kids would choose Chuck e Cheese or something right? Harrison said definitively that he would like to find a bike park and practice jumping his bike. My 3 year old wants to jump his bike. I thought I had at least another season or two before he started doing tricks on his bike, didn't he just learn to ride?

No?....

since I'm not one to disappoint, we loaded the bike in the car and set out to find just the place.

We thought for sure this was going to be it.... guess again...

Turns out Harrison didn't bother reading the sign, and went right into the park. He stopped short of the 6 foot deep bowl.

This was a bit more Harrison friendly.... Since we really weren't actually allowed in the park (something about having to sign a waver or something... eegads!) we decided to go to the adjacent (empty) parking lot and let him try jumping some speed bumps.

He was catching air in no time...

Ready to move on to bigger and better.... Turns out there was a larger park just down the road that allowed bikes, with no signed waver!!

Who's having more fun.... hmmmm

We're home safe with no scraps, no broken bones, and lofty, lofty expectations from a certain three year old for the rest of the summer.

There's not turning back now.

Looks like Harrison had quite the time. You will never hear the end of it now! It was so fun watching determined Harrison ride his bike. I miss him!

Wow Harrison - you guys have a future x-games crazy on your hands. He is so cute and little doing that stuff. Ella is still terrified of going too fast with her training wheels! She needs to spend some time with her good buddy Harrison to get the idea!
