(Don't worry, he still got a cookie.)

When cookies go wrong...
Whenever I begin a cooking project, I guaranteed to find exactly 2 helpers. Sadly enough, Maya has not found her love for cooking like the boys have, rest assured, I have all the help I could ever need in my two boys. I was making cookies the other day, and ran down stairs to grab some pecans out of the freezer, only to come back upstairs (30 seconds later) to see this...
Does he look guilty to you? WELL... HE IS. He was throwing large fists full of brown sugar, flour and baking soda on the floor. AS FAST AS HIS LITTLE HANDS COULD MOVE. I could see his little brain trying to figure out how to reach the eggs with that big bin of flour in the way.
This picture does not do the mess justice. The floor was covered with brown sugar and flour. Then he had the nerve to track it all over the kitchen! It took me no less than 30 minutes and a shop vac to get the kitchen back in order.

Oh my goodness!! It's a good thing he's such a beautiful boy. What an amazing helper you have.
It's funny how a mess that takes 30 seconds to make, can take 30 MINUTES to clean up!
that big toothy grin makes it worth it though, right?!?
You actually told the newborn 'no'? How could you! He is a cutie for sure.
Henry looked like he had a ball in less than 30 seconds. I'm sure the 30 minute clean up was worth his little smile and pleasure of making the mess. :) He has grown up and is starting to look more like Harrison every time we see him.
Lucky there was not honey on the cupboard... An open flour container is every boy's dream...
One day you will be able to retire and leave the cooking to the boys !!
(Dream on)
substitute flour and brown sugar with Nesquik and craisins, and this happened to me just the other day.
