We woke up to perfect temperatures on Sunday morning, it was 70 and sunny.... so we set off to take a walk in our neighborhood to a nearby park. During our morning adventure, we came across this small turtle trying to cross a big street, we knew it would be turned into a turtle pancake if we didn't intervene. Tadd carefully carried the turtle all the way home (she had rather sharp nails on her feet!) where we found a bucket and carried Shirley the turtle (name courtesy of Maya) to our pond where she was set free, far from the busy street and curious fingers of a certain 4 year old.
Farewell Shirley! We loved having a pet for an hour on one lazy Sunday morning.
ps- we all sanitized our hands when we got home
pps. Harrison's hair looks like this every morning when he wakes up, he sleeps on his right side and his hair is forever sticking straight in that one spot. Only a hot shower will make it lay flat!

Whew on the sanitizing !!!. I was so dumb when the boys were little we had a turtle in the house..(until we lost it and found it in the closet. deceased of course.)

What a fun family...
I love the new look. Crisp and clean. It really makes your photos pop!
Last night Hunter & Jackson found two little frogs, they named them & put them in our garden before they went to bed. They woke up this morning & I think Hunter was a little heartbroken that he couldn't find "Wilbur". Yes-we did just recently watch Charlotte's Web.
Hi there. I was going through old posts on my blog and came across the great giveaway of March 2009. I totally forgot to follow through but thought I'd stop over and say hi! Hope things are going well.
