Bounty

I love September! After weeks of drought, we finally had a huge rainstorm last week (thanks Gustov!) I went to check my tomatoes the next day, and unfortunately all my cherry, pear and grape tomatoes split from all the moisture. I think we got 3 1/2 inches in one day! The Romas loved it though, look at all the tomatoes I picked yesterday!

Since I didn't want to go to the store and buy cilantro to make my salsa, I decided to make oven roasted tomatoes. Similar to sun-dried, but in my oven and not back patio (I live in the midwest, not Provence people). I used all the oven roasted tomatoes I made last year in my Labor Day potluck offering, so it was perfect timing to make more. I'll let you know how they turned out in 12 short hours!

I'm VERY anxious to see the progress of this...I am a huge fan of sun dried tomatoes. How exciting that I could make them myself! I'll be watching for the results!!!

Those look yummy. 'Cept they're tomatoes! Yuck. But seriously, if they were anything but tomatoes, that would be delish. I love how Molly Mormony you are. You make it stylish.
