I guess I wasn't getting Henry breakfast fast enough, he climbed on the table and had his way with Harrison's left over cereal and milk. Also note... Tadd dressed Henry for bed the night before, I suggested that he would be warmer with socks and a onesie on under his jammies. Tadd thought it would be waaay too much trouble to take the jammies off and put the socks and onesie on underneath. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers, right?

Tuesday night photo class
I finally signed up for a photography class at the local college, I've been wanting to take one for 4 years now, you can call me procrastinator extraordinaire! Here are some of the shots I'm turning in for my first assignment. The instructor wants us to take some photos using Manual mode. Now I've been exclusively shooting my camera on the auto setting ever since I bought it 5 years ago, I never took the time to figure out how to change the F-stops, ISO and shutter speed. I've found that I really like to shoot in manual setting. One of the assignments was to shoot a self portrait. SCARY!! Here are a few of my favorites. Now for all my photog friends, these shots are my first assignment. I hope to get much better!! Also note these are straight out of the camera, no editing has been done....

Note... it's hard to take a self portrait in full manual mode, how can I see to change the settings? Oh well....

Good for you! When you get comfortable enough, I'm gonna hit you up for some family pictures. Just a heads up. ;)
I've always thought your pictures looked amazing that you posted on your blog! I think these look really great as well!
Cool. If I was there, I would have totally taken that class with you. I have this fancy camera, and not the knowledge to fully use it. Dave tries to tell me but stops when my eyes glaze over.
That looks like a very fun class. What a great skill to have. It's so fun to learn new things as an adult. I wish I had known how fun learning is back in High School days.
Love the pics-Henry is getting so big! He is handsome!
I seriously need a new camera!!! Your pictures look great!
I want a "portrait" of Henry.
I am so glad you finally decided to get serious about photography... You are way good already.
I just want to squeeze Henry...such a handsome little man!
those photos look great, I can't wait to see more!
I think shooting in manual is the best. Nowadays I sometimes use shutter or aperture priority, but manual keeps you on your toes and gives you the most control for sure. Great job! I am jealous. I want to take a real class instead of my little friends class. Don't you want to just pass on all you know???? to me??
Oh, and self portraits ARE so hard. I actually put my camera on top of my lamp to get mine and had to take a LOT to get it focused right. MAN.
