I guess we won't need to worry about watering the garden for a few days....

This is my poor garden in the corner of the yard, it's nearly under water!! (That can't be good)
I think we got close to 6 inches of rain today.

This is the view from our front porch, our street is flooded, the storm drains were completely overwhelmed and the water was just spewing back out. The kids were in awe...

The water is up over the sidewalk.... I hope our sump pump lasts through the night. When I lived in Utah, I never even knew what a sump pump was! Who am I kidding, I don't even know what a sump pump is now (Tadd's department) I guess I'll learn pretty fast.

Slow down man! He made quite the splash... The kids cheered. Sorry for the blurry pictures, the rain was just torrential and the flash kept bouncing off the raindrops. The sky was so dark (these pictures were taken at 6 pm, it's usually very light at that time) I had a hard time getting the camera to focus.

That's crazy! I remember summer storms as a kid (not that bad) when we would run outside and play in the gutters...did you let your kids out?
We didn't let them out, but only because the rain really was torrential, and the lightning/thunder was constant. We made popcorn and watched Narnia instead
I wish I lived on your beautiful street! Even if it is in the rain! I also love seeing pictures of your yard! You have quite the green thumb Amber...very impressive!
Sorry about Taylor calling you multiple times.....I guess that comes with your name being the first A on the list!
