Kindergarten here we come

It feels like Maya has been ready for Kindergarten for about 3 years now, so it comes as no surprise that she was chomping at the bit for school to start yesterday. We finally completed a long list of "must do's" before school started, including:

-Registration (plus a sizable fee)
-Physical exam and immunizations
-Dental exam
-Vision exam
-Fitted for new shoes
-Fashion show with new outfits
-Malibu treatment and haircut (at mom's salon!)
-Father's blessing
-Back to school feast with Maya's choice of food
-Shop for school supplies (a list of 20+ items! Yikes!)
-Orientation, meeting the teacher, filling out more paperwork!!

We've completed the list and Maya can't wait for the bus! Tadd came home to have lunch with us and see Maya off on the bus.

Do you think Harrison likes to be in pictures?

"Mom, why do you keep asking me if I'm nervous? I'm NOT nervous."
(I guess I was the one that was a little nervous!)

Harrison strikes again!~

And..... she's off!

Make good friends and good choices my little girl. You don't know how quickly it goes by.....

Maya looks so darling in her red outfit. So, I guess Maya had a great first day but how did mom handle it? We miss you guys and can't wait to see you in a few weeks.

Yea! Ava started too. I think it's neat that the girls will graduate at the same time. Ok I'm gonna go cry now.
