The other day Harrison kept insisting I make popcorn for him so he could watch Hairspray, it was a cold rainy and and the kids wanted to kick around in their jammies. It took me a few minutes to oblige Harrison's request, and in that short amount of time he had successfully retrieved the air popper, assembled it, chose the correct measuring cup, fetched the popcorn, butter, dish to melt the butter, correct size bowl for the popped corn, and salt. He plugged the machine in, let it heat up, poured the correct amount of popcorn in the drum and placed the bowl under the spout. All the while I was pretending to be occupied with something, but keeping a close eye on him. I wanted to see just what would happen if Harrison was left to his own devices. I finally intervened when he dragged a chair over to the microwave to melt the butter. Seriously? This kid will never starve....SO independent.

Lydia and Harrison sound a lot a like. What is about the second child?
Air popped popcorn! Yum. I have been doing the 94% fat free popcorn for so long, I can't remember what homemade popcorn tastes like!
PS I've tagged you on my blog today... take a look.
With any luck by the time is he is four he will be able to make dinner a couple nights a week!
They sure figure stuff out in a hurry, don't they? He seems like a very busy boy, always cooking up something in his mind. Very cute.
Reminds me of a photo I have of Scott at about 18 months old. Cradled in his arm was a whole loaf of homemade wheat bread slathered with fresh raspberry jam. Nope those boys will never starve!!
boys@ gotta love em, feed em and keep em in clean undies LOL
