I'll be sleeping with one eye open from now on
Yesterday Harrison (did I mention he was 3?) came up to me clutching the lid to Christmas ornament bin, he was so excited he was practically bursting to share his "good idea" with me. "Mom!" he said "You know what I wanna do?!" He held the plastic lid up (it was nearly as big as he is). "I'm going to surf down the basement stairs standing on this!" I'm sure he was thinking he could sail down the wooden stairs (all 13 of them) and stick the landing. A perfect 10 no doubt. WHAT?! I asked him. I told him if he tried to surf down the basement stairs on a plastic lid, the probability of him breaking his head open, or maybe even knocking some teeth out, was great. He considered my advice for a split second and replied.

Harrison is a smart little boy. How did you convince him not to do it with a reply like that? I seriously laugh so hard every time I read a new post about Harrison. He is a daring little thing.
One day, he'll quit coming to run his ideas by you. That's when you really have to start worrying.
Amy- He didn't end up doing it. I think I took the lid away and possibly locked the basement door!
Kaytie- I had a little more to say than "what!"
Jen- I don't even want to think about the day he stops running things by me. I'm afraid already.
