I'm just now sitting down and looking through my Christmas morning pictures, I thought this one of Harrison was cute. Normally I don't look too fondly on my kids starting the day off with high fructose corn syrup, refined flour and red dye #5, but since it was Christmas, I let it slide. I remember looking forward to the tiny boxes of cereal in my Christmas stockings every year, Santa must have thought Maya and Harrison would like it too..... (they did!)

There is nothing quite like your own little box of sugary sweet breakfast! And after a year of 'porridge' you deserved it!
Great tradition!
I always looked forward to my rare fruit loops... When I was in charge of buying the groceries, it became a staple. (I'm sure I was compensating or something) now it is a treat now and then.... but I understand why I saw it so infrequently...
That IS a fun tradition. Although my kids would think..."BIG WHOOP! We have this everyday". OK, so now I have a new New Years Resolution. I will be better about healthy fast breakfast! :)
By the way...Trix, the round kind, is heaven sent. When I was pregnant with Jake I craved them. They had to be round, and yet they weren't making them round anymore. They were fruit shaped and enduced vomitting! What I would have given for just a simple box of ROUND Trix! :)
