Fishing at dusk

The past two evenings have been too beautiful to stay indoors, so we headed to our favorite beach spot (which happens to have a little pier) and let the kids do a little "fishing". OK, so the fishing rod doesn't have a hook, but the kids don't need to know that. Can you imagine Harrison with a fishing hook? Yikes, no thanks. We brought along a few pieces of old bread and enjoyed watching the minnows flit around and fight over the bounty.

Happy as a clam... She really loves to do this.

Here's Maya's response when I told her it was time to leave....

Fishing without a hook? That is so hilarious. It's like when I hide veggies in Paul's dinner.

Wow, you are quite the photographer. We are looking forward to the weather being cold enough to do anything but swim at dusk! And yes, I agree that Harrison should not have a hook!

I love that last picture of maya...she is looking so grown up! I bet the kids loved fishing. It reminds me of going fishing at adventure land when we were little.
