Quiet time?

Sadly, Maya has nearly outgrown her afternoon naps, even though I still need a break (desperately). So we came up with a deal that she could stay awake if she played quietly in her room for the duration of naptime. Next time I'm going to make a deal that she needs to play quietly and neatly!

Bonus points if you can find the baby amidst the rubble....

Conversation many years ago:
Candise (age 5): Mom, when can I quit having 'quiet time'?
Mom: Honey, when you move away from home and go to college you can choose if you still want 'quiet time'.

Mothers that don't enfore the 'quiet time' rule don't know what they are missing!

AMEN!!

Mallory has been being a little bit of a turkey when it comes to nap time lately. I am just not willing to surrender! AT ALL! It will never EVER happen!

That room IS pretty intense! As long as she can clean up after herself, it is probably worth it though!

Well, ya know, ya gotta ask yourself. Was it worth the moments of peace and quiet. Even when I found the room like that, I usually answered with a resounding and thunderous YES!!!!

Now, when it's quiet time, I go into my own room and shut the door. Instant quiet time for me.
