3 years ago.....

I remember the day Harrison was born like it was yesterday. Candise had come to help me with Maya while I was in the hospital with Harrison but he decided to take his sweet time and he was seriously overdue. Candise was scheduled to leave in a few short days and Harrison hadn't made his debut yet, so when a few mild braxton hicks contractions happened, we went to the hospital to beg them to let me stay. We got to the hospital around 7am, once they felt pity on my one week overdue self, they let me stay. The hospital was so crowded, it turns out 10 other moms had the same idea I did and the maternity ward was hopping. Candise came to offer me some moral support and take some pictures of Harrison once he was born. The Dr came to check me at about 4:15 and shouted "DON'T PUSH!! The baby is right here! Didn't you feel any pressure??" I sheepishly looked at the little button they gave me to allow more pain control in my epidural... Nope, I said, I don't feel a thing! Seriously though, Harrison was about to be born completely unattended. It was about then that I asked Tadd to put my Bob Marley CD on, and to crank it up. Harrison was born 5 minutes later, pretty much only because the Dr. had to put her gloves on and get things ready. Harrison was born to Bob Marley's "No Woman No Cry." The nurse that was carrying Harrison over to be washed and weighed was dancing (literally) around the room with him saying "This is going to be ONE COOL KID".....

You know what? She was right. He IS one cool kid.

I am quite impressed with your monster truck cake, plus it sounds delicious! We will most likely be having a "Buzz Lightyear" 3rd birthday the end of August-can I just make cupcakes?!
