Beat the heat

The past 4 days have given us nothing but heat and humidity. Yuck. I remember the first summer I lived here after moving from Utah, i could barely stand the humidity. It was like I was in the devil's armpit. In my entire 18 years of living in Utah, I never produced one drop of sweat on my body. SERIOUSLY. I moved here and the first humid day, I felt something crawl down my back, I quickly reached my had up the back of my shirt to kill the bug that was crawling down my back, and to my horror, discovered it was SWEAT. SWEAT people! Sweat on the person who has never produced a drop of sweat in her life. I was beside myself. Then? Then I realized that everyone else was sweating too, and I just decided to live with it. 12 years later, I'm still here, trying to beat the humidity, the flat hair, the sticky, clammy, icky feeling that goes along with living here in my beautiful state. Afterall? There could be worse weather.

We love the Sassy Chronicles. That picture of Maya is a classic. I thought that we were away from the humidity when we moved from Palm Desert but living in another hot golf course community just begs for the humidity. Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts.
