One benefit of the July heat we have around here is the bountiful crop of August and September tomatoes. Fresh off the vine tomatoes have always been one of my favorite things to eat, I love them when they're still warm from the sun, with a sprinkle of salt. Summer doesn't get much better than this....

Today I had fresh strawberries, apricots and a cherry tomato--all from our little garden. I love the results of Dads hard work!!
I can't wait till I get some ripe tomatos...
